Welcome to the Open Carbon Protocol

The Open Carbon Protocol (OCP) is a platform for new carbon crediting methodologies and projects, modeled after the peer review process.

It provides the tools and incentives for speed, trust and alignment between project developers, MRVs and dMRVs, registries, buyers and other stakeholders in the VCM.

The OCP allows stakeholders to add layers of trust to their proposed methodologies and projects.

The Open Carbon Protocol is currently undergoing public commentary on this Handbook until December 1st. Any comments or concerns on the guidance provided here are encouraged to be sent to [e-mail].
